The Manx People’s Community Support (PCS) was formed in 2020 by a small group of concerned individuals.

PCS is for anyone who has found themselves feeling alone, worried or marginalised during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our aim is to support, inform and give a voice to people who have questions and concerns.

We are an inclusive group made up of people from all walks of life. We have parents, grandparents, doctors, dentists, pilots, solicitors, tradespeople, entrepreneurs, teachers, engineers, and natural pharmaceutical and natural health and well-being experts. We welcome those who have been vaccinated, those who are choosing to wait and those who have decided not to. We don’t have a leader, because we want the group to be genuinely for the community, by the community.

We meet once a week in different places around the island. At these meetings is where we discuss what we as a community can do to support each other and the wider community of the Isle of Man. At these meetings and in general, we have decided upon 4 protocols and 4 pillars in which we all hold each other accountable.

Protocols

No Egos – Come as who you are, not what you are.
Respect other’s opinions.
Transparency – Every decision made for the community, is made by the community.
Inclusivity – Everyone is welcome but must respect the other protocols.

Pillars

Protect our children.
Protect our freedoms.
Protect our choices
Protect our future.

As the third protocol suggests, decisions are made by the community. This process happens at the meetings. We do not have a leader; we have a flexible core group of facilitators that make suggestions and coordinate the meetings and any action decided and taken by the community. Suggestions are welcomed by anyone in the community and discussed in the open forum part of the meetings. Some meetings are more structured, and some are just an open forum, we like to stay fluid in this area.

If you’d like to come to our next meeting, you can be sure of a warm welcome. If you have any questions, please get in touch via the contact page or email us at Manx.PCS@protonmail.com or support@manxpcs.info.
